Jason’s experience in animation, graphic design and writing, spans back over 12 years. He has worked for clients such as; Cartoon Network, Fox Kids, TCM and ITV.

ghostboy is a mobile comic specifically created for mobile devices and smartphones. On the 21st December 2010, the ghostboy comic celebrated its first year available on both the Android Market and the Apple App Store.
Since its release there have been five chapters and two specials, with a combined download of over 30,000 and an average rating of 4.5 stars.
The comic follows the adventures of Tristan, a boy who lives with his recently divorced mother in a little village on the outskirts of town. On the night of his eleventh birthday, Tristan is visited by a little ghost girl, who comes to him with a problem. From this night on Tristan’s life would change forever…
The comic is inspired by German Expressionist Cinema of the 1920′s and the Hammer Films of the 50′s and 60′s. Jason is also fascinated by the paranormal, such as ghosts, apparitions and hauntings. Originally the idea behind ghostboy, was not a comic, especially a mobile one. ‘I wanted to create a series of short illustrated children’s books that followed the adventures of this 10 year old boy, who became haunted by the neighbouring ghosts in the cemetery. But when I was introduced to the iphone and apps, I was blown away at the possibilities. I began to do some research and luckily came across Robot Comics a recently set-up mobile comics publisher that are based in Barcelona and L.A
I submitted a proposal that was loosely based on my children’s book idea – They liked it, so they asked me to submit a more detailed treatment. At this stage I played around with the format and narrative ideas so that it would work better as a comic. And again, they liked what they saw and here we are now…a year later’
ghostboy|interactive.
ghostboy|interactive is a project that is both cutting-edge and innovative. It will be a fully interactive and navigational application that can be downloaded onto any smartphone or mobile device running on Android or the Apple OS.
The mobile device market is growing at break-neck speed, with devices and smartphones becoming more advanced and having the ability to store more information and perform at very high levels.Over the next couple of years the mobile device market is predicted to overtake the PC market, especially where laptops are concerned. scarycaravan media have noticed that this opens up a whole new spectrum of creativity and place of exploration. ghostboy|interactive is a project that will do just that. The project aims to push the boundaries of what the smartphone and mobile device can do over the next 18 months and beyond.
Based on the mobile comic, ghostboy|interactive will be an application that will contain; Comic Chapters, Animation Episodes, Concept Art, Character Designs, Interviews, Games and loads more interactive experiences such as: ghostboy|3D The application will be navigated around by controlling a little on-screen character, Tristan.
Development on ghostboy|interactive will commence in late February.
